Why Buy Direct from the Breeder?

if you have watched the Markets on birds, exotics, pets, for the last couple years you should see that they have been up for a while and right now we are in a down cycle, when prices were up everyone jumped on the bandwagon trying to raise birds in back bedrooms, sheds and in grandma’s room, now that prices are down its hard to sell birds at a decent price as the quick buck artists are selling, legitimate breeders getting out as bird prices are down but materials, feed and help have gone up    

Why direct from the breeder? simply put, you are eliminating the middle man, a lot of people buy direct from the breeder to include the following, they try to buy at wholesale prices and then offer them to the public with a substantial markup at retail prices, these people can be seen advertising on Facebook, at birds shows and advertising in other arenas , I'm not saying all these people are bad, I have several friends who own pets stores, I offer my birds at  fair prices, I draw the line where I sell a bird at 200 dollars and a flipper or a pet store turns around and offers same bird at 600-800 dollars and I've done all the work , a little profit is fine, you know who they are

your breeder has records as to what the parents were

Your breeder has records on what he feeds 

your breeder has records on any disease testing done

Flippers tell you they have this but telling you what you want to hear , Don't know if you are a flipper or not , Just ask , I'm not shy
